Rising rapper Kweku Flick says his career continues to hold despite not getting any nomination at this year’s Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.

The Kumasi-based rapper who made his name in the Ghanaian music industry in 2019 was nominated in last year’s edition of the VGMAs when he dropped his street jam, ‘Sika’.

In an interview, Kweku Flick indicated that he is not disappointed in not getting any nomination in this year’s edition.

“Missing out on this year’s VGMA doesn’t mean my career is sinking because everything is about time in this world. The way I didn’t get nominations in this year’s edition of the VGMA, I might be actively involved in next year’s edition, who knows?” he indicated during an interview on Cape Coast-based Kastle FM.

Kweku Flick however is optimistic about making a statement in upcoming editions of Ghana’s premier music awarding scheme adding that all he has to do is to put in more work.

“So, I’m hopeful that next year by this time we’ll be talking about my nominations so everything is about time, I need to first of all put in the work and I’m not disappointed at all not to be involved in this year’s edition of the VGMA,” he said.
