The Director-General of Holy Trinity Medical Centre/Holy Trinity SPA & Health Farm, Dr. Felix Anyah has been awarded the prestigious “Golden Star Award for Exemplary Leadership in Health Care Delivery & Healthy Lifestyle in West Africa” at the 4th Security Watch Africa Awards 2008 in Abuja, Nigeria on Friday, 10th October 2008 .
The Security Watch Africa, according to the Executive Director, Mr. Patrick Agbambu, recognised individuals, groups, agencies and governments that have excelled in (SHEFS) Security, Health, Environment, Food, Safety, administrations, operations, practice and governance in Africa. Among dignitaries who have won this award in earlier years, include His Excellency John Agyekum Kufuor, President of the Republic of Ghana.
Other recipients of this year's Golden Star Awards, include His Excellency Alhaji Aliu Mahama, Vice President of the Republic of Ghana, Her Excellency Madam Ellen Sirleaf-Johnson, President of Liberia, Former Secretary General of the United Nations, Mr. Kofi Annan, and the Governor of Zamfara State, among other dignitaries.
In a citation accompanying the award, at the plush Sheraton Hotel, Abuja, The Security Watch praised the innovation in Health and Medical Tourism by the establishment of the highly patronised Holy Trinity SPA & Health Farm at Sogakofe, Ghana and the outstanding contribution of Dr. Felix Anyah, of the Holy Trinity Medical Centre and Holy Trinity SPA & Health Farm, to the growth and development of Healthcare Delivery and Healthy Lifestyle in West Africa, in the year 2007/2008.
