For the record: 419 or moral standards upside down - Part 2

Standing in the Kantamanto market, Accra/Ghana, finishing a deal. A Prophetess located with her church in Lashibi/Tema Community 18 had cheated on us, the Pastor my wife had gone to for each Fridays watch night in prayers. She threatened us to put a curse on our lives in case we dare to tell our story and expose her. Shortly after I received a call from an unknown number. A man introduced himself as a Pastor from around 1st Junction in Teshie-Nungua. He told me God had told him that we had problems and gave him my phone number to call and offer his help. We were puzzled and interested. The following day he directed us to his church inside Teshie, a shady, simple wooden structure with lots of plastic chairs to sit on inside. At the feet of the altar, he offered us drinks and counselling. We carefully mentioned the situation we faced. He promised help, got out a little black notebook and, like a bookkeeper, wrote the names of various goods with prices needed to be bought by him for us. The total amount of Ghc 600 was supposed to be paid for very fast to fight against evil spirits and set us free. We left puzzled with no commitment given. The next day he called wanting to come to our home for the money. With friendly words, we delayed him to give up eventually.

Someone got hold of my phone number mentioning I should meet the brother of the former Minister of Justice of Sierra Leone in need to invest USD 35 Mio. with only a trustworthy white man. The next day that man met me in Greda Estate. While walking around the area he shared with me his family and especially his brother's story. I mentioned a few projects I would have interest to set up. He agreed to discuss the ideas with his lawyer in Accra. Three days later I was supposed to call him. I called and was asked by him to pay Ghc 500 to the lawyer for his service rendered. When I refused to pay he shouted through the phone: "Do you think you can get all the money for free. What a mad man you are!" I ended the call, laughed out loud and had the best time of my life!
