Economic status in society attracts a perception that may not always be right. Measured by material possession or lack of such as indicating success or failure, many strive to reach higher stations in life.

Some people acquire money or material by inheritance. For others, lack of possession presents an opportunity rather than misfortune as generally considered by compact majority in society.

Changes in circumstances place people in a state of roller coaster. Such changes reveal situations where in one generation a family is considered least fortunate by material measure of possession. Another family is seen at bottom of the social and economic ladder with passage of time washing away their material and money belongings.

Generational poverty is a global experience even in the most materially advanced and wealthy nations. Certain brackets of society accept to be defeated by their own mindset that life has nothing to offer them. They settle for the least coming their way. Just having something for hand to mouth is enough. This state of affair is passed on from one generation to other with little or no hope of redemption. It takes a radical resistance by certain members who defy the flow by getting into pursuits that changes life for better.

There is no certainty that poverty and wealth remain life partners. Those who endured limited access to possession may over time have the clock turn another face for them. Others who found both hands filed with best of possessions can also run out of supply, especially with mishandling.

Whatever camp in the social divide that you may find yourself, remember that changing fortunes of life run at such fast speed that not everyone easily catches up with. Your poverty is no life sentence passed by hostile judge out there in the wilderness. Mental poverty may create material poverty. While that may not always happen, even people with larger possession are prone to situations their minds create.

Your eye on the ball is better way of keeping control for goal scoring strikes. Keep striving for the next best. If you do not change your conditions in time, your conditions will change you out of time. The choice is yours to make or break.
