Prof Baffuor Kofi Opoku advised Ghanaians not to relent in keeping to the protocols in preventing or restraining the spread of the virus in the country.

Corporate Services Executive of Ashcell which is MTN’s accredited dealer in the Ashanti region, Mr. Jerry Otchi presenting the items said they were to support the frontline health workers of the facility in providing health care to the people of Kumasi and the Ashanti region, who formed part of its clientele.

The items donated included 10, 000 pieces of disposable face masks, 12,000 pieces of hand gloves, 10 pieces of infrared thermometers, 12 BP apparatus, 20 pieces of pulse oximeters, and 40 pieces of face shields all totaling GH 23,000.

The donation by the company is to support KATH in fighting the spread of the coronavirus pandemic in the country.

Mr. Otchi said as a referral centre, the facility had to deal with all sorts of cases including treatment for COVID-19 related cases.

The items were therefore to complement the government’s support to the health facilities that are the forefront in providing care for people infected with the virus.
