Feature Article Economic Recovery of Coronavirus Sickening World Population
JUN 11, 2020 LISTEN

People and the global economy falling sick at the same time is a challenge that requires proper doctoring by multidisciplinary blend of competencies for holistic recovery.

Each nation has their share of the pandemic as people come to terms with everything Coronavirus imposes on a world least prepared. Globally and at national levels, the year 2020 budgeting hardly provided for so much cost in financial and human lives.

Economic lockdown simply means closure of the production line that pumps money that keeps cashflow in healthy circulation. People being sick and fear of catching the Coronavirus remains a barrier to open engagement.

Social distancing, a term never so loudly pronounced becomes the new regime governing everyone in every way. Working from home does not seem to work well for some businesses and service enterprises. Person to person contact could not be cut out in some situations. Yet, it is through contact with others that rate of transmission spins faster.

Given the rate that Coronavirus spreads through person to person close contacts, businesses that feed on crowds have been left with no better option than closing indefinitely. This leaves window of opportunity for businesses trading on "essential goods" to keep serving on strict rules that social distancing remain the way.

Doctors and frontline workers in hospitals or care homes put their lives on the line with the risk of going to work and not knowing if they ever return safe. That risk extends to family and close associates in society for every key worker in the frontline services. The result has been waves of fatalities with little hope that things will get any better soon.

As the world population grows sick, that situation imposes economic slowdown, full impacts for which nobody tends to know. This situation remains critical challenge for the world, local economy, and families.

Like a tornado, Coronavirus is sweeping faster than the rate of progress in search of a reliable vaccine. That means by the time an effective vaccine becomes available, loss of vital human capital will render the economic situation requiring a recovery on slow track of progress.

The situation we face calls for paradigm shift in solution thinking. Doctoring the situation requires competent intervention by health professionals and Enterprise Architects in rare collective engagement. Health experts will be doing their best in curbing the menace of Coronavirus by any intervention it takes to do so.

Enterprise Architects and business leaders in their combined solution engagement will identify best fix to keep the economy alive and cashflow in healthy circulation. Once we have a healthy enterprising world population, curbing the Coronavirus and total recovery becomes readily feasible.

The recovery intervention requires rethinking in a collective engagement. After this lockdown, the world economy can still recover when cashflow and distribution is extended without exclusion.
