Aims at supporting young Imo daughters and to foster the strong cultural heritage of the State, Xquizuit Cyn'Jaaay Creations will this Sunday, November 24, 2013 unveil the Face of Imo Pageant 2013.

In an exclusive, but afternoon of glitz, the event would be showcasing young selected Imo finest females on the runway for this year's coveted Face of Imo, which the winner is expected to go home with exciting prizes as benefit to the crown.

Speaking, the convener and initiator of this much-anticipated pageant exercise, Maryjane Achonwa who briefed the press recently in Owerri promised that this annual gathering would a grand one.

Basically on what she aims to achieve with the platform, she stressed that “we are celebrating young Imo daughters with beauty, intelligence and poise. Even also as we aim to promote the cultural heritage of Imo State, by telling them at the outside world that we are able. It is an annual event that has been put together to celebrate strong, and committed young ladies”.

“The event aims to support and give them publicity, in the expectation that supporting the role models of today will strengthen our collective tomorrows. Our belief is that if we support them, through this event, we will be contributing to a hopeful future by helping some individuals to develop and refine personal attributes such as self-esteem, public speaking ability, and confidence that will assist them throughout their lives”.

Interestingly, she added that the pageant will help the eventual winner in her quest to become a national titleholder (an Ambassador of Beauty), and at the same time help in fostering strong values, community involvement and success oriented women; thereby helping the state in its cultural development.

Billed to hold at the Imo prestigious Concorde hotel, the Speaker of the Imo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Uwajumogu is expected to lead the list of important personalities for this epoch event.
