Dr. Kofi Koduah Sarpong, who headed a five-member management team to lead the Black Stars to the 2019 AFCON in Egypt, says Ghana was not disgraced at the continent’s biggest showpiece.

Ghana's hopes of ending the 37 years trophyless jinx was extended after losing on penalties to Tunisia in the round of 16.

Nonetheless, the GNPC boss says the Black Stars did their best, adding he totally disagrees with those who say the country was disgraced at the tournament.

”Ghana was not disgraced at the 2019 AFCON Our expectations were high and we couldn’t reach our target,” he told Asempa FM.

The Executive Board Chairman of Asante Kotoko further indicated that though the management committee of the Black Stars team’s report at the Afcon is not ready, his outfit would come out collectively with a more balanced and objective one.

”Our report is not out yet,collectively we will come out with a report which will be very balanced and objective,” he added.
