German-born Ghanaian attacker, Kevin-Prince Boateng has welcomed a potential move for Italian striker, Mario Balotelli to Serie A side ACF Fiorentina before the ongoing transfer window shuts.
KP Boateng completed his move to Fiorentina from Sassuolo a couple of weeks ago and is expected to lead the attacking lines for the side when the season starts.
Prior to his transfer to the club, reports had indicated that management of the Viola had been in the market for the potential signing of Mario Balotelli. That move according to Corriere dello Sport could still happen with the Serie A side bent on strengthening their forward before the transfer window closes.
KP Boateng has backed the move for the player in a recent post on his official Instagram account where he is spotted heaping praises on Balotelli who he previously played with at AC Milan.
“Call him crazy, call him arrogant, call him overrated. I call it incredible, as a player and as a person. Best wishes brother”.
“What is a suggestion for Fiorentina? The market runway has not yet”, KP posted to celebrate Balotelli as after marking his 29th birthday on Monday.
Fiorentina will, however, have to battle Brazilian side Flamengo for the signature of the striker if they do want to secure his services for the upcoming 2019/2020 season.
