Captain of the national under 17 team, the Black Starlets, Alhassan Uzair insists his side is well prepared for the Ivory Coast in the semi-final of the WAFU Zone B championship.
Ghana reached the semifinals after dispatching Togo 2-1 in the group stages. Meanwhile, their opponents Ivory Coast thrashed Burkina Faso 3-0 to set up the tie.
Ahead of the game on Wednesday, Alhassan Uzair who plays at the heart of defence for the team believes the team is battle ready for their neighbours.
"It's the semis against Cote D' Ivoire and I am very sure with the kind of preparations we put in now and the training over the days we can win. I and teammates are well prepared for the game," he said.
Ghana began the campaign with a goalless draw against host Niger before beating Togo in the second group game in the new qualification format for the Africa Juvenile Championship.
Togo, however, had to recover from a disappointing 5-1 defeat to Nigeria to beat Burkina Faso 3-0 on Saturday.
