Sports News Newly Signed Al Shorta Midfielder Asiedu Attobrah: Iraq Is Not A War Torn Country
FEB 9, 2018 LISTEN

Former New Edubiase midfielder Abraham Asiedu Attobrah has allayed palpable fears over the perception that Iraq is a volatile war-torn country hence his decision to join a club there is unacceptable.

Attobrah, who joined Iraqi giants Al Shorta on Wednesday, cleared the air on why moving to Iraq to pursue his football, wasn't a bad move for him.

"Iraq is a very cool place with no turmoil. People keep saying Iraq is a war territory but that's entirely not the case from what I've seen so far. It's a very calm and serene country." Attobrah told Chaskele on Zylofon Sports.

He also eulogized club's coach Carlos Paueta and reiterated that Hearts of Oak were too sluggish in their bid to get his signature.

"The coach of my new club is a former Brazil national team coach, who showed interest in me when he saw me during my trials here and I'm sure by next week I'll start playing for the club. Hearts of Oak were too slow to sign me so I just I just had to move in here."
