The soccer Academicians, WAFA defeated Liberty Professionals 2-1 to make it 7 consecutive wins in the league.

Togolese international Komlan Agbegniedan scored both goals for the league leaders. Liberty's consolation was scored by Samuel Sarfo.

The win increases WAFA's point tally to 29, 3 ahead of Aduana Stars who couldn't hold on to a 1-0 first half lead away at out of form Asante Kotoko.

The Porcupine Warriors are without a win in 7 games. A change of coach is yet to change the fortune of the club.

Aduana took the lead in Kumasi through Sam Adams in the 20th minute. Kotoko were awarded a ppenalty kick 4 minutes after going down but striker Kwame Boateng wasted the spot kick.

Three minutes after recess Abbas Mohammed sent home a sweet free-kick to draw Kotoko level. The result means Kotoko have shared spoil in all of their last four home games.

Bolga All stars and Accra Hearts Of Oaks sold out a six goal thriller in Tamale. The hero of the day was Alhassan Rahim who scored a brace for the debutant to overturn a 2-1 deficit to a 3-2 lead only for Ivorian national Alexander Kouassi to tie the scores for Heart with 15 minutes to full time.

Ashanti Gold under new coach C.K Akonnor drew 1 all at home to Medeama SC. Bernard Ofori scored for the away side Medeama and Prince Owusu scored for Ashanti Gold.

Great Olympics lost 2-1 at the Tema Park to Tema Youth. Abel Manomey pulled Olympics leveled in the first half after going down to a Malik Antri goal. The 'Dade Boys' couldn't hold on in the 2nd half allowing James Akaminko to snatch a winner for the Tema club.
