Hearts have contacted Professor Anthony Mintah for the vacant coaching job at the club, GHANAsoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.

The Black Stars psychologist who has come under intense pressure from Ebusua Dwarfs supporters in recent weeks, tendered in his resignation after their 1-0 defeat to All Stars at home, even though officials of the Cape Coast-based side have vehemently denied the reports.

But GHANAsoccernet.com can reveal the the under-fire trainer told angry fans of the club in the wake of the home defeat to All Stars that he has quit his job and was heading to Accra to take charge of the former African champions.

Further checks by Ghana's leading football outlet, GHANAsoccernet.com can reveal that some top brass of Hearts have contacted Professor Mintah to take over the reigns at the club.

The capital-based side are in the market searching for a new trainer  following the dismissal of David Duncan last week.

Duncan was shown the exit under controversial circumstances in a move which has generated so much controversy in the West African country.

The Board of Directors are reluctant to reinstate him despite persistent pressure from many fans with board member Dr Nyaho Tamakloe revealing the club will not be browbeaten into bringing him back to the post.

The ex-Ashantigold trainer is widely seen as the figure to revive the club and end five years of trophy drought.

It's however becoming clearer that the supporters won't have their way with the board keen to stick to their infamous decision.

Meanwhile Duncan has been strongly linked with a move to the opposite direction.
