AFFUL IS EAGER TO PLAY NOW Ghana international Harrison Afful has expressed his desire to join Asante Kotoko for the remainder of the season after unsuccessful stints abroad.

The 21-year-old ended his loan spell with the Kumasi-based side in May last year and has since struggled to land a deal in Europe.

The Fetteh Feyenoord player surfaced on the football screens after a impressing at the just concluded African Nations Championship in Ivory Coast.

Afful was named in the CHAN best X1 after the two-week competition and hopes will loosen the strings for his move to Kotoko.

"What they told me is that they are not going to force me to play in the first division but all I'm counting on them is they should allow me to play for Kotoko in the premier league because they made me who I am today," Afful told JoyFM.

"Nobody new Harrison Afful.I think they did a lot for me so I'm praying I go back to Kotoko.

"They(fans) have been calling me a lot that they missed me and I also miss them too because they did a lot of things for me when I was there. I can't turn my back on them. I hoping to see them again.

Late last year, Afful had trials in Norway and Sweden but couldn't stitch up a deal.
