MAIDENS MUST HIT HARD Ghana's Under-17 female team, Black Maidens, will begin their campaign at this year's Fifa World Cup against Korea DPR in Christchurch on Wednesday.
The Maidens trimmed their rough edges during a 10-day tour of neighbouring Australia where they won one and drew the other in two trial matches.
They also sharpened their arsenals with a two-weeks training tour of Germany where the scored 17 goals and conceded 7 in preparatory games.
The Asians booked their ticket to New Zealand way back in March 2007 and perhaps have the edge in terms of preparation.
Ghana will next play Germany on Saturday and the Group's concluding fixture against Costa Rica on Tuesday,04 November.
