Ghana's international boxing referee, Dan Nunoo-Mensah, left Accra yesterday for Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso, to officiate in an African Boxing Union (ABC) fight today.
The bout, between a yet-to-be-named Burkinabe and a Nigerian, would be the Ghanaian's third international duty and several in his four-year-old profession.
Month's ago, he was in Burkina and Algeria respectively for a similar exercise and had to be re-invited to the Ouagadougou because of his stellar performance.
Nunoo-Mensah who is expected back on Tuesday is optimistic that his recent showings would soon earn him a place among the elite referees in the world.
He told the Daily Graphic that his rise attest to the level of officiating in Ghana, which is unparalleled on the continent.
