The head coach for Legon Cities FC, Bashir Hayford has rallied his players to focus on their next game following wild celebration on the back of their win against Great Olympics over the weekend.
The Royals on Sunday afternoon shocked their capital rivals when they locked horns at the Accra Sports Stadium to battle for points on matchday 19 of the 2020/2021 Ghana Premier League season.
At the end of an exciting contest, Great Olympics earned the maximum three points courtesy of a 2-0 win.
Speaking in a post-match interview, a delighted coach Bashir Hayford says his team’s attention immediately turns to their next match against Medeama SC.
“Fantastic victory for the team today. We showed hunger and determination to win. I am so happy for the boys.
“We need to keep up the momentum and grab few wins then hopefully climb up the table. Attention turns to the next game right away,” the Legon Cities FC coach said after the win.
The big win against Great Olympics gives Legon Cities FC 22 points, and safe from the relegation zone until the next matchday.
