Racing Strasbourg defender, Alexander Djiku says he is happy to record the first win with the Ghana national team following the 5-1 thrashing of Qatar on Monday afternoon.
Having received his maiden Black Stars call-up last month, the centre-back marked his debut last Friday when Ghana lost 3-0 to Mali in the first friendly match in this international break.
In a second friendly match today, Alexander Djiku earned another starting role but this time around to play in his preferred centre-back position.
The French-born defender had an outstanding game and helped Ghana to record a 5-1 win against Qatar at the end of the 90 minutes at the Titanic Sports Stadium in Antalya, Turkey.
Reacting to his first shot at the Black Stars, a proud Alexander Djiku says he is delighted with the win.
“Proud to have played my first two games with the #BlackStars! And very happy with this first victory”, the defender posted on his Twitter page.
Djiku, 26, has impressed in his first 2 matches for Ghana and looks set for more games in the future.
