Aduana Stars midfielder, Elvis Opoku has opened his door wide to any possible transfer to Kumasi Asante Kotoko in case there is an interest.
The experienced midfielder has less than 6 months remaining on his contract with the Dormaa-based club and is hopeful of a move abroad.
“Many clubs have expressed interest in me, but my sight is on getting a foreign offer than local. Some clubs have contacted me but they want my contract to expire before we conclude everything”, he said in an interview with Kumasi-based Hello FM.
However, he insists that if Ghana Premier League giants Asante Kotoko come calling, he will be open to joining the side.
“Kotoko is a big club and everyone knows their pedigree in Ghana football. So it is the wish of every player to play for them, so why not”, he added.
During the 2019/2020 football season, Elvis Opoku played a key role for Aduana Stars in the Ghana Premier League where he played in 14 matches before the campaign had to be suspended and subsequently canceled as a result of the Coronavirus (Covid-19) crisis.
