The management of Elmina Sharks has rubbished reports suggesting that some players of the club being housed at a rented apartment have been evicted.
The Ghana Premier League club has since 2016 been renting an 18-bedroom apartment for its playing body with a renewal plan of every 2-years with the owner of the building.
Earlier today, there were reports indicating that the owner of the building has evicted the players currently occupying the building due to failure of the management of Elmina Sharks to pay rent for the past 11 months
In a statement from the club, they have debunked the claims of eviction while giving clarity to the whole issue.
“The management of Elmina Sharks and the owner of the property have agreed now not to renew the agreement.
“The management of the team has decided to house the playing body in the team's own facility when the football season resumes”, a statement from Elmina Sharks has said.
