The New Patriotic Party Parliamentary aspirant Dr. John Kingsley Kurugu, has donated Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs) worth thousands of Ghana cedis to the Zebilla Police Command and District Health Directorate in the Upper East Region to help stem the spread of COVID-19 in the area.

Dr. Kingsley Kurugu presented bottles of hand sanitizers, nose masks, hand gloves and other health items meant for the health workers and the police in the district.

Distributing the items, he said "Our nation might be full of fear, not only of COVID-19 but of the economic hardship already happening directly and indirectly impacted by the pandemic. And yet, in the past weeks, we have also become acutely aware of our interdependence—that our collective success will not only depend on how we care for ourselves but also how well we include and care for the poor and the vulnerable and our support for the health care workers".

He noted that, everywhere, he goes he saw people and businesses reaching out, connecting and offering support which requires same in the area.

The aspiring parliamentary aspirant encouraged residents of Zebilla and its environs to remain calm and cooperate with the President’s directives and other health precautionary measures in a bid to reduce their risk of contracting the virus.

Dr Kingsley Kurug entreats all and sundry to remain calm, minimize fear, behaviour and avoid spreading false information about the disease.

Dr. Kingsley Kurugu will be going to the polls with Hon. Frank Fuseini Adongo, the incumbent Member of Parliament for Zebilla and Deputy Upper East Regional Minister.
