An Accra Circuit court has remanded a scrap dealer Emmanuel Aryeetey, who appeared before it with the charges of conspiracy to commit crime and robbery.

Emmanuel was said to have conspired with two other persons now at large and robbed one Nana Takyi of his waist bag containing an amount of GHC360.00.

He pleaded not guilty before the court presided over by Mr Aboagye Tandoh, is to reappear on December 21.

Prosecuting, Superintendent of Police, Patience Mario told the court that, the complainant Nana Takyi trades in men's shoes at Kaneshie, under the overhead bridge at night, while the accused person, a Scrap dealer, lives at Abbosey Okai together with his accomplices now at large.

She said on December 5, at about midnight, the complainant was eating in front of a store when Emmanuel and his accomplices attacked him at knife point and robbed him of his waist bag containing an amount of GHȼ360.00.

According to the prosecution luck eluded the accused and he was arrested together with the complainant's bag, but the money could not be traced.

Mrs Mario said Emmanuel was handed over to the Kaneshie police together with the exhibit for investigation. In his caution statement he admitted the offence and mentioned Adama and Sazway as his accomplices but failed to lead the police to their hideout. GNA
