Word Digest: Slay The Invisible Giant (1)

"On reaching the place, he said to them, "Pray that you will not fall into temptation."

[Luke 22:40] NIV
What necessitated Jesus to instruct His disciples on the day of the unleavened bread called the Passover?

Could it be Jesus already knew His disciples might fall into transgression?

You should not be surprised because Jesus knew that someone amongst the disciples might betrayed Him while others fall into temptation.

"Then Satan entered Judas, called Iscariot, one of the Twelve" Luke 22:3 NIV

Simply put , Satan's spirit entered Judas Iscariot and regulated the mind, emotions and movements of Judas.

Throughout Satan's control over Judas Iscariot, he deposited an invisible giant called greed in Judas. That invisible giant drifted Judas away from his brethren and went straight to the Roman army to sign a deal of betrayal for the exchange of Jesus.

Today, greed as an invisible giant is destroying people regardless of race or religious affiliations.

And it is in this regard , Jesus asked his disciples to pray so that they do not fall into temptation.

"And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one" Matthew 6:13

To slay the invisible giant, it requires one to pray daily so that he or she does not fall into sin.

Prayer
Lord Jesus I thank you for the Your word. Get rid of any invisible giant of greed in my life now or forever.
