The Wisdom versus Blunder of the U.S Supreme Court on Trump Ruling

The Wisdom versus Blunder of the U.S Supreme Court on Trump Ruling
05.03.2024 LISTEN

When Colorado did a minor blunder of removing Trump from the Ballot, we rightly hoped the Supreme Court will see the dangers, but the Supreme Court did a bigger Blunder that other Countries must smartly study and avoid. I think it all stems from an unclear constitution and lack of foresight in interpreting constitutions and laws in general. The u.s constitution did not specify who should determine who should be barred due to insurrection, because the writers thought it is a no brainer question ? When you and I are involved in an insurrection, the courts decide our specific punishment, and it should not be any different because a top politician is accused. I do not think a state court should decide such, but nothing can be worse than thinking politicians or congress should decide who is guilty of insurrection and what precise penalties to apply.

In our global village, we must not just think ahead, but across countries to see what makes sense. Although it is possible to corrupt Judges, the average Judges of even poor Senegal, the Gambia, and beyond seem to be lot more decent than average politicians. The partisanship nature of many politicians make them too dangerous for certain roles. Thinking ahead means if Democrats win both chambers and Donald Trump wins the presidency, democrats can bar him and risk civil war? It also means if Desantis or xyz was elected as president and have a majority in congress, they can repeat worse than what Trump did and bank on 'only' politicians have the right to act. Thinking across means: Putin or xyz can label even a protest by the next Navalny as 'insurrection' and politicians rather than judges should decide that? Transfer the clauses as if they were in the constitution of Senegal, the Gambia, or any country... Gauge how the parliament of Senegal sided with postponing Senegal's election until the Courts decided otherwise. Even though Judges are not perfect, they simply seem to have much more wisdom and higher conscience than politicians. Evidently, judges can be faulty, rectifying each other, or to be rectified by you and I towards higher thinking. I thus suggest very strong comedy or xyz against the decision of the supreme court.

The argument that state courts should not decide who qualifies to be on a ballot for federal office is simple wisdom, and again due to the partisan nature of politics. A blue state barring red candidates and the reverse will lead to disaster. State courts should decide those running on state level, but the supreme court should hear appeals in such cases. Either the supreme court is avoiding responsibility or simply blind to the dangers of letting politicians decide who should be barred from office.

Whereas barring candidates can be part of the punishment of high crimes, the process is vital. The accused should be in court and convicted before any form of punishment can be carried out. Barring is too lenient a punishment, unless a very minor role was played.

Many of us agree what Trump did was wrong, but his greatest or most vivid wrong was his refusal to do something when lives were endangered. Foresight is one of the highest blessings that few people possess, but the blind and semi-blind may never be very honest. We cannot certainly judge the intentions of Trump, but his words, actions, and inaction are open for the honest among us. When his words came out, he may not have known how many will respond and which ways. To claim that Trump knew and democrats+ didn't know means lack of foresight, or inferiority to Trump and his wildest supporters; to claim that Democrats+ knew and still did not prepare enough means even worse than Trump's negligence. The humility to accept I do not know or never thought about xyz seems very high for many a politician. I will not suspect the kind of chaos of January 06 and still go to work without a personal gun and enough security. When you and I pass an accident scene and refused to help, there are laws to charge us; so when countless lives were endangered and Trump refused to act, that should be high crime, not just any crime.

The foolish ones among us may see it as u.s issue, but we must study where our laws should be clarified. Helping the u.s or any country perfect their laws is like a seed of gratitude or prayer. May we be protected from the blunderous seed of mistakes, including the u.s supreme court ruling. May God bless us through Showlove Trinity: Let's learn, let's work, let's have fun.
