SDTA Awards crowns Enoch Atakorah Supreme African Filmmaker of the Decade

In a significant recognition of his exceptional talent and contributions, Enoch Atakorah, a Ghanaian filmmaker has been awarded the prestigious "Supreme African Filmmaker Of the Decade 2023” award by the Global & Prestigious Supreme Dynamic Talent Academy Awards, (SDTA Awards).

Enoch was bestowed this honor at the SDTA Awards, 3rd edition’s star-studded Gala.

The “Supreme African Filmmaker” accolade celebrates Enoch’s outstanding work in the African film industry and highlights the significance of African filmmaking through his works over the decade.

During the last decade, filmmaker Enoch Atakorah proved that he was an absolute force to be reckoned with.

It all started when Enoch Atakorah gained strength in the film industry as a Production Manager, before becoming a film producer and has since produced hundreds of films. Enoch’s consistency eventually led him to become a major filmmaker voice in African film, which he merited with his over 18 years of experience in the film industry.

Some of the notable filmmaker’s filmography includes; the game, the heart of men, Bed of roses, Sisters at war, Clean slate, Victims, Before noon, Smoking gun, Royal diadem, Government babes, Jackie goes to school and many more. He is currently producing several upcoming film projects as well.

Before winning this award, Enoch Atakorah is a two-time awardee of the SDTA awards, namely, Supreme African Film producer of the Year - 2021 and Supreme African Film Producer of the Decade - 2022.

The Award for Decade Film category, is Jury-decided only, which illuminates the finest examples of the Acting and filmmaking craft & to highlight major achievements in the African film history, which includes film stars & film Makers, who stand out for consistently Portraying supremacy in their work over the Decade or more for their achievements & contributions to the Film Industry.

Upon receiving the Supreme African Filmmaker Of the Decade award, Enoch Atakorah, expressed his gratitude, saying, "I'd like to thank everyone who has supported me throughout this journey. It's been an honor to bring stories to life through the power of film. I couldn't have done it without the amazing cast and crew who believed in my vision. And of course, a big shoutout to all the fans who have watched and appreciated my work. This award is a testament to the hard work, dedication, and passion that goes into every frame. Commenting on why the decorated filmmaker was chosen by the Awards Academy Board for the honor; the Awards Young Chairperson, Hon. Zino Lexili Ogazi said, “At SDTA awards, we give honor to whom honor is due, he has been consistently working for almost two decades and showing work supremacy while at it, which beautifully portrays his love for his craft, pride for when he achieves a milestone, fears, sacrifices, and unwavering passion while chasing his dreams all these years in the film industry, he also serves as an inspiration to the up-comings, he has therefore earned his flowers and we are happy to celebrate him, Congratulations to him!”
