Ghana's firebrand radio and Kuchoko Legend, Blakk Rasta mesmerised Jamaican and American audiences at this year's Dis Poem Wordz & Agro Festival alongside the Malcolm X Sol Food Festival airing jointly in a virtual concert.

The Ghanaian Kuchoko (blend of Reggae and African rhythms) artiste headlined the event this year bringing to bear an energetic 20-minute set full of hard-hitting Kuchoko music and weird African dances, with his Herbalist Band. It was the longest set of the night yet, Jamaican fans said it was too short.

The festival had over fifty poets and singers drawn from all over the world and included legends such as Mutabaruka, DYCR and the founder, Ras Takura. It was a nite of pure poetry, music, and dance.

The Jamaican Gleaner earlier described Blakk Rasta as "the voice of Ghana", and he lived beyond expectation - many seeing him for the first time on the Jamaican stage. His mystic Zantan Bua (Goat Dance) performance became the talk of all festivalers who were blown away by the sounds and movements.

"I am excited to be on this big stage, respect to Ras Takura. It's been a long coming. I am looking forward to doing more on the island of Reggae after this 'scamdemic'! Thank you, Jamaica. I am glad they loved the vibe. This opens us up to do more." Blakk Rasta told this reporter.

Mutabaruka performed a tribute to Lucky Dube (slain Reggae legend of South Africa) and a couple of his ever-popular poems. DYCR closed the festival after Blakk Rasta and, it was a huge task to deliver after the Kuchoko Legend set the stage on fire. He never disappointed either as he thrilled fans with firebrand poetry. Ras Takura was extra energetic this year getting fans asking for more. It was generally a great time for festivalers.
