Bekoe glances at Europe after goal king crown
LISTEN

Asante Kotoko striker Eric Bekoe says he could end up playing football in Europe after winning the 2007/2008 season goal king title.

Bekoe's impressive scoring form saw him rattle in 17 goals; a brace each in the last two games although having to miss seven of the 30 league matches.

The 22-year-old forward has told Ghanasoccernet.com he prefers the French Ligue 1 to begin his stints in Europe.

Bekoe is set to leave for Germany on trials with some Bundesliga and Bundesliga II sides before the season resumes after Kotoko's Caf Confederation Campaign.

"I'm saying I have arrived but I think going to Europe now wouldn't be a bad idea because I will have to fight hard to survive there," Bekoe told Ghanasoccernet.com

"I scored a goal yesterday and a Hearts of Oak fan who was at the stadium hailed me and drove me home in his car," Bekoe added

"I missed the seven league games but i still won the title and I have to say big thank you to my teammates who helped me win this award."

Kotoko emplane for Libya on Monday to begin preparations for their last qualifying round first leg tie against Al Ittihad on Friday.
