Asa Savings & Loans' Tema Comm 1 Business Centre Holds Free Medical Screening For Clients

The Tema Community 1 Business Centre, a branch of ASA Savings and Loans Limited has organized free medical screening for clients within its operational boundaries.

A total of 186 people were screened by Filbalas Medical and Diagnostic Centre for various diseases such as blood pressure, hepatitis B, malaria, sugar level and breast cancer. Beneficiaries were also given free medicine and mosquito nets.

Speaking to ModernGhana, the Branch Manager of the area, Frimpong Arhin said the exercise forms part of their Corporate Social Responsibilities (CSRs) to give back to the community.

He noted that the company has been organising similar events in all networks across the country to keep clients medically fit and further impact on their businesses positively.

“We have also decided to give out free mosquito nets to especially women in order to protect themselves from malaria infection because women are often regarded as the most vulnerable in the society,” he stated.

According to him, the company is poised to organise and expand this initiative in order to reach out to more people in every part of the country.

He stressed that the exercise is a continuation of a series of exercises to provide free medical services to clients and sustain their businesses in communities in which they operate.

The company has earmarked US$100,000 for the CSR activities which include free medical screening, free mosquito nets and many more in all the 123 business centres and branches nationwide for the year 2020.
