Ignore The Faceless 'Osu Youth' …They Are Just A Propaganda Tool - Nii Adumuah

A leading member of the Osu Stool Anti-corruption Movement Daniel Nii Adumuah Omaboe has issued a counter statement to debunk what he described as frivolous and the ugly noises making rounds in the Accra Mail newspaper and its online portal by a certain group calling itself ‘Angry Youth of Osu’ purporting to drag the name of the Speaker of Parliament and the First Lady into the raging Chieftaincy dispute in Osu.

He said, by the figment of their own imagination and illusion as well as a calculated attempt to smoke the screen, they claimed that the First Lady Mrs Rebecca Akufo a native of Ga State and the Speaker of Parliament Hon. Mike Ocquaye who is also a true indigene of Osu are behind the true and undistooled chief of Osu Nii Nortey Owuo III in the ongoing Osu chieftaincy dispute.

Nii Adumuah stated without mincing words that this is a pure propaganda gimmick from the stables of Kinka Dowuona VI which is aimed at preempting any form of government intervention or assistance in solving the long protracted chieftaincy dispute in Osu.

He stressed further that without any basis for their claims, its clear that they have pressed the panic button on themselves because Kinka Dowuona III’s chieftaincy was a clear creation of the previous NDC administration and that is why they are now hiding behind a certain faceless Osu youth to carry out this act of desperation.

He said, as far as we know Hon. Mike Ocquaye’s name was mentioned once on our platform when we did our famous Osu Awake against corruption demonstration and it was a humble appeal to him as a senior citizen who knows tradition and culture and as a true indigene of Osu too asking him to make an input in solving this chieftaincy matter in the rightful way.

“In any case, Hon. Acquaye is rather on record to have stated on an occasion with Kinka that no one can remove him and we know all of that we are not bothered because we are following due process by sending the matter to the Supreme court to determine fraud in Kinka’s chieftaincy or otherwise”, Nii Adumuah added

On the issue of the youth group’s appeal for Osu as a Municipal, Nii Adumuah said, this is rather ridiculous adding that “Who needs a municipality when the whole of Osu is sharply divided because of the by force chief foisted on the people of Osu”

He said, as a humble servant of the people of Osu Nii rather appeal to the authorities which created these statutory chieftaincy institutions to set up an independent commission to go into the Osu chieftaincy dispute to set the records straight once and for all.
