Guwahati: Blood Sample Collection Series At Press Club Climaxed

The five-day blood samples collection series, organized by Assam’s well-known healthcare institution Dispur Hospital at Guwahati Press Club was cliamxed on Friday 13th April.

Over 125 blood samples were collected for lipid profile tests, the reports of which will be available at the press club office of northeast India. It may be mentioned that the lipid profile (lipid panel) test includes various types of blood screenings to measure the level of cholesterol and triglycerides.

The tests can identify certain genetic diseases and determine approximate risks for cardiovascular disease, certain forms of pancreatitis, and other related diseases. Emphasizing on post-test consultations, Dispur Hospital’s managing director Dr Jayanta Bardoloi informed that an experienced physician from his hospital will be assigned for 21 April (Saturday) ‘Evening with a Doctor’ program at the press club premises (between 3 pm and 5 pm) for necessary consultations with the participating member-journalists about their blood reports.

Till date, the health initiative of the press club has been supported by GNRC Hospitals, Down Town Hospitals, Apollo Hospital (Chennai and Guwahati campus), SIMS Chennai Hospital, Manipal Hospital (Bangalore), Fortis Hospital (Bangalore), Medanta the Medicity Hospital (Gurgaon), Ayursundra Hospital, Barthakur Clinic, Wintrobe Hospital, Nemcare Hospital, Sun Valley Hospital, Excelcare Hospital, Rahman Hospital, Narayana Super-Specialty Hospitals, Swagat Super-Surgical Institute, Sight First eye-clinic, MMC Panbazar etc.
