Sunshine Healthcare Launches Ultra Modern Diagnostic Centre At Airport Residential

Sunshine Healthcare Limited has introduced another diagnostic branch in the Airport Residential area to offer world class diagnostic expertise across a wide range of laboratory and imaging services 24/7.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, the Minister of Health, Kwaku Agyemang Manu said the burden imposed on Government is huge, not only because of the financial implications but due to lots of man-made mortality.

He indicated that it is against this background that the government is working on public private partnerships in all the sectors including the health care sector.

The sector Minister noted that the most vital requirements in the prevention and treatment of both communicable and non-communicable diseases is the need for early and accurate diagnosis that is provided by Radiological and Laboratory test.

“While the government is continuously investing and improving its capability in providing the above diagnostic services to its citizens, it actively looks towards private healthcare providers and diagnostic centres to augment its efforts,” he stated.

According to him, there is therefore the need for the provision of accurate, high quality and timely reports by the private diagnostic centres in order to facilitate the treating physicians and surgeons to provide the right treatment to their patients.

He indicated that the ministry has formed a Health Facility Regulatory Authority whose task is to regulate the private healthcare centres.

Kwaku Agyemang Manu posited that this became a necessity because of the proliferation of numerous labs and healthcare centres whose practices leave a lot to be desired.

“The end result is that the patient does not get the quality results that are needed for his or her treatment,” he intimated.

He added that they are happy to note that Sunshine Healthcare Limited has been doing a yeoman’s service by providing the physicians and surgeons of Ghana with accurate, high quality and timely reports which has resulted in better patient treatment and has saved many lives.

The Chief Executive Officer and Director of Sunshine Healthcare Limited, Bernard M. Joseph indicated that the company believes in giving quality services to achieve customer satisfaction.

He said they offer accurate, high quality and timely reports which are well received by the medical profession in Ghana.

“We work closely with Government hospitals, private medical hospitals, clinics by augmenting their services thereby offering their patients better and accurate diagnosis,” he stated.

Mr. Joseph added that creation of the Airport Residential branch was borne out of a desire to provide customers with better service, ambience and latest equipments.

He stressed that Sunshine Healthcare Limited will now be the first private stand-alone healthcare facility in the country to have 1.5 Tesla MRI.

The CEO emphasized that medical consultation services are rendered by a team of leading consultants of various specialties and full time medical officers.

“We also undertake preventive health screening for individuals and corporate organizations,” Mr. Joseph noted.
