Assembly staff urged to generate revenue for development
Accra, March 18, GNA - Mr Ishmael Ashitey, the Greater Accra Regional Minister, has urged the staff of the Ga South Municipal Assembly to work hard to generate enough revenue for development.
He said the municipality had a good number of tourists' attraction sites which could fetch the country a lot of funds to improve social amenities to raise the living standards of the citizens.
Mr Ashitey gave the advice when he undertook a familiarisation tour of the Ga South Municipal Assembly.
He said President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo was in the process of selecting municipal and district chief executives for the assemblies and, therefore, urged the members to exercise restraint.
Mr Ashitey assured the assembly that measures had been put in place to help bring an end to the boundary issues facing the municipality for peaceful co-existence.
