Accra, Dec. 21, GNA – Former President John Agyekum Kufuor on Tuesday urged Ghanaians to “pull together” as a people for a brighter future for the country.

President Kufuor in his Christmas message signed by his Spokesperson, Mr Frank Agyekum, thanked God for “bringing us this far.”

He said there was a lot of potential for the country and for all Ghanaians and that the addition of oil made the economic prospects for the country even brighter.

“We all need to hold together and pull together as a people to ensure that the good things we aspire for and the heights that we expect our oil economy to take us are met,” the former president said.

“This calls for vigilance from all of us and for transparency in the use of our God-given resources and talents,” he added.

The former president asked Ghanaians to endeavour to be each other's keeper and know that governance of a nation was better served if we valued the humanity in all of us.
