Indian Women donate to Ridge Hospital

The India Women Association of Ghana has presented a large poly tank valued at Six Hundred Ghana Cedis to the Surgical Unit of the Ridge Hospital in Accra, as part of its corporate social responsibilities.

The president of the association, Mehek Mohanani, during the presentation, said the group paid a visit to the hospital sometime ago and realized that the water reservoir serving the Unit was not adequate.

 Based on that, they decided to purchase the tank for the hospital to help ease water problems. She expressed her association's preparedness to offer other forms of help to the hospital if need be.

The hospital"s Administrator, Dr. Kwame Opoku, announced that plans were underway to develop that health centre into an ultra-modern facility to improve quality health service delivery by the government.

He said his outfit welcomed any gesture that would help in the smooth running of the hospital.

Receiving the item on behalf of the Unit, the Head of Clinical Services and a Physician Specialist, Dr. Henrietta Asare, expressed gratitude to the members of the association for the kind gesture and hoped that the relationship between the two would be a long-lasting one.
