Ghanaians Are Neither Looking Up to NDC Nor Mahama in 2025

It is darn too obvious that power-drunken former President John “European Airbus Payola” Dramani Mahama has absolutely no clue or touch with the reality on the ground in the very country which he grossly misgoverned for some four-and-half years and, for the three-and-half previous years, as the right-hand man of the late President John Evans “Atta-Woyome” Mills, the internationally renowned tax-law scholar and academician who gleefully colluded with and publicly and shamelessly both helped to engineer and execute the infamous Woyome Heist, in which a hitherto unprecedented GH₵ 51.2 million was literally extorted from Ghanaian taxpayers by Mr. Alfred Agbesi Woyome, the putatively foremost financier of the country’s main opposition political party, to wit, the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

Which is why the 64-year-old native of the Akufo-Addo-created Savannah Region would release a press statement via his triplets-delivering reproductive machine cousin and and taxpayer-salaried spokesperson, Mrs. Joyce Bawa Mogtari, the former Deputy Road Transport Minister – now let’s talk about nepotism – telling eligible Ghanaian voters to look towards his second nonconsecutive reelection in December 2024, so that he could bring them the much-needed economic comfort and security that the Akufo-Addo-led government of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) had woefully failed to deliver to them (See “Ghanaians Are Looking Up To NDC To Win Power and Save Them – Mahama” Modernghana.com 3/11/23).

Maybe somebody much more humble and levelheaded who is also very close to the former President ought to ask him precisely why the same Ghanaian voters whom he is now so desperately appealing to, to return him to Jubilee House twice, consecutively, voted to keep him in opposition, if, indeed, Mr. Mahama had creditably acquitted himself as their leader and successfully delivered to them what he is presently promising, during the four-and-half protracted years that he was at the helm of their affairs. For those of our readers who may have so soon forgotten, it was while he was Vice-President to the man whose death he heartily and publicly celebrated as a God send that Mr. Mahama and at least one of his uterine brothers domiciled in London, UK, criminally bilked Ghanaian taxpayers to the humongous tune of at least € 5 million (Five-Million Euros), in the form of a bribe that may very well have prevented the Ghana Government from purchasing some three military aircraft at a competitive price, in what became known globally known as the European Airbus Racket.

That he was not prosecuted in the wake of foolproof evidence delivered by the Criminal Fraud Courts of the three countries that investigated this most heinous scam, namely, the United States of America, Britain and France, was primarily because of the flat and adamant refusal of Mr. Martin A B K Amidu, the Akufo-Addo-appointed Independent Special Prosecutor, on very curious and dubious grounds that time presently does not permit this author to extensively delve into. Even so, what is crystal clear here is the fact that Mr. Mahama went into politics to simply feed himself and his family members, relatives and associates fat at the expense of and to the detriment of Ghanaian taxpayers and the citizenry at large.

There is also absolutely no evidence, whatsoever, pointing to the fact of the Dynastic Presidential Candidate of the National Democratic Congress’ being the least bit interested in significantly improving the lives of middle- and low-income class of hardworking Ghanaian citizens. Indeed, it was precisely for this reason that Mr. Jones M Dotse, the renowned and distinguished Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of Ghana, once described the Mahama Posse as being pathologically obsessed with blindly and unconscionably looting and sharing the bulk of the collective wealth of the country among themselves, and with absolutely no one else.

With Mahama hangers-on like Cousin Joyce Bawa Mogtari, the so-called Spokesperson for the 2024 Mahama Presidential Campaign, it is all about feeding fat and filthy at the expense of Ghanaian taxpayers. You see, presently, Mrs. Bawa Mogtari, whose husband also held the executive office of a government agency director in his brother-in-law’s regime, is on the public dole as one of the approximately dozen staff appointees of “President Emeritus” Mahama. The former President claims that he and his staff are not being regularly paid, as statutorily mandated by Ghana’s 1992 Republican Constitution. And that he is currently strapped for cash, as a result of which he has had to travel abroad for personal care and business at his own expense. And yet, in his most recent statement to the media, the former President claims to be awash with cash and that he “will provide all the materials and logistics needed” to run his 2024 Presidential-Election Campaign.

Further, Candidate Mahama admonishes his campaign managers and field workers, “Please, let’s send [these supplies and materials] to the branches when they come. That is where the work is.” So, why has Candidate Mahama been badgering the Akufo-Addo Administration to take care of his parasitic staff appointees, the most prominent and ungrateful among whom are Mr. Felix Ofosu-Kwakye and Mrs. Joyce Bawa Mogtari? You see, Candidate Mahama has absolutely no credibility. And neither is the man whom the late former President Jeremiah “Jerry” John Rawlings described as the most corrupt Ghanaian leader savvy enough to recognize the unarguable fact that it his abjectly dismal performance track record, and not merely how “vigilant” or criminally hawkish his polling agents and assigns conduct themselves on polling day, that stands to make his desperately desired objective or goal realizable.

Unless, of course, President Dumsor also intends to bully and intimidate his way with his empty talk of a bloody revolution. But on the latter count, also, Okogufuo Yagbonwura Kwame Gonja must rest assured that any grossly miscalculated attempt to “revolutionize” his way through the ballot box, even with the decidedly stale superannuated military experience of General Mosquito, will not amount to even the metaphorical Hill-of-Beans, as it will be fiercely met with commensurate countervailing force, trust me.
