Public Sector Verses Private Sector
14.07.2021 LISTEN

Public sector institutions are managed by the government with policies and issues that control its affairs and their process is formal. Private sectors are managed by the individual private business tycoon and their process is informal.

Public institutions have played a central role in the development of many cultural fields within our society. It has mandated to increase productivity and brings more resources and togetherness to maintain the reputation of the sector. They are to work under government policies that had been lay down to follow to yield benefits to the government. Public sectors are being managed by Chief Executive Directors being appointed by the political party leaders on power and sometimes allow (Directors) passes through interviews of the sector management requirement. Public sector institutions are undermining productivity because political appointees are not really focusing on the mandates of the institutions and symmetric information are not drawing back to the workers and just few of the management that disseminate information to the workers.

REPORTING TIME

The reporting time of the Public sector workers are not encouraging, in fact, the leaders are supposed to show leadership examples are not done so. The public sector workers behavior and attitude of reporting to duty are not encouraging. Job satisfactory is not enhancing worker to work at all, so all public sector workers need motivational skills to report to duty on time and should not abuse reporting time to duty.

COMMUNICATION

Communication is a process; it passes through a medium to the receiver and feedback to the recipient. The information sent to the workers or the recipients are to achieve the target purpose within. The public sectors Managers are keeping information that will help individual workers to develop are not done so and lack of communication is a problem to the public sector workers. There are so many communication gaps between the monarchy and the subordinates in the public sector functions.

CORRUPTION

Corruption is a way of collecting money or demanding something from someone with a work done can be described as corruption, exhausts money from unknown people. Most of the workers in the public sector demand or exhausts money from their customers for the work done. Insufficient salary cricks some of the workers to take money from government funds that yields problems to that extend. There are so many ways of corrupting the process of the public sector administration. The corruption graduated to reactive instead of being proactive to his duties.

POLICIES

Policies are the by-laws, rules and regulations that guide the institutions for its annual implementations for the rest of their activities. Some of the policies are having advantages and disadvantages for the workers. The policies in the public sector are only favors’ the senior members and other low ranks are rather suffering from it. The senior members are only not really considering the junior workers, a lot of disparities in the public sectors than the private sectors.

WHY PUBLIC SECTOR IS NOT DEVELOPING?

The public sectors are not developing because of government policies that banns the sectors what they are supposed to do are not allow to do that, drains the development of the institute. Political streams are eating into the public sector issues and kinds of greediness and selfishness are rather tarnishing the image of the people to develop their targets for the day, such attitude must be stopped and educate all the leaders and subordinates to change their attitudes to enhance motivational and better productivity. The senior members should support and supervise the development of the work and stop sabotaging the development of the work for the day.

SUGGESTIONS

The managers and workers responsible for government institutions must set good exemplary life to report to duty on time and allowing information to flow to the concerned workers and fulfil all their mandates achievable. The workers must stay at the workplace to the end time, which mandated them to close at the exact time so that their work will achieve sustainable development goals. The managers must also try to address all grievances about the workers to make their resolutions meaningful and practicable.

PRIVATE SECTOR

The private sectors are managed by the private businessman or business oriented that focus to achieve their objective and goals. In my perspective, private sectors are more serious than the public sector because of government policies that regulate them but private sectors do their own business without government control.

REASONS WHY LOW PRODUCTIVITY AFFECTS PUBLIC SECTOR

Private sectors are more focused and proactive than the public sector because of government regulations and mandated policies

Lack of punctuality on duty at workplace

Policy implementations and evaluation

Lack of research and development

Management of finance are not utilized wisely

Rules and regulations are not practicable

Presentation of documentation delays the process of inputs

With these elements of productivity of the public sectors cannot be compared to private sectors because public sector management are too dormant to be bold to implement such qualities for sustainable development.

There are so many challenges in the private sector in terms of competition of their products yet they were able to yields profit but public sector ministry cannot improve their productivity because of financial challenges, even though government is doing its best but is not sufficient, still needs to support the public sector workers to develop and improve their mandates to achieve their target aims and objectives.
