Feature Article African youth are suffering
APR 15, 2021 LISTEN

The continent of Africa belongs to the black people of Africa and we want our political leaders to help us to achieve our sustainability goals and to develop our own continent without any sentiments but some of the citizens want to create unsuccessful environment. Some African and Countries such as Libya have been known in recent times in the manipulation and abuse of human beings and Colleague Africans because they have sought greener pastures in the country. We need to accept our own and commonwealth values that demand our culture of hospitality and mercy towards our neighbors in our various countries.

God has given us a lot of mineral resources, how are we managing it? The youth are not gaining any better jobs and employment, is hard to come by. Let our political leaders focus on the development of the future of the youth and better education whilst encouraging the youth with enabling environment to use their hands or create their own businesses in their communities. This will decrease the rate of the youth migrating into other countries like Libya where criminals take advantage of them.

African youth are suffering from poverty, starvation, lack of parental care and control and other moral abuses that go on in our various political arenas. Our political leaders should try and focus on the youth by directing and assisting them to make use of the natural resources God has bestowed on us. The African country is full of minerals, copper, gold, manganese and many others. Our leaders have to do their best to manage the resources for the development of the country. Honestly, the causes of the youth suffering can be traced back to our leaders. They come to redeem themselves but not on behalf of others. The selfishness is seen manifested by a lot of African leaders as they even refuse to step down when their tenure of office expires leading to unwanted conflicts, etc.

The youth concept based on the political leaders that had been merged with global issues of women and children trafficking, money laundering through micro finances and serious crimes that go on within our political boundaries. The African leaders should let the youth enjoy the environment and understand the nature of other policies in the various African Countries and this education must be assisted and supported by the media practitioners. In addition, all the political leaders must try and implement good youth policies in their political campaigns. In fact, youth issues must be looked at critically and addressed accordingly.

In conclusion, African political leaders must look at youth issues and policies first before anything else. The youth also needs education to sustain their future. The leaders must also focus on the activities of the youth so migration into other countries on foot to seek greener pastures is curbed.
