Naa Abeka Obeng Amfako (Naa Abeka Nunoo), couldn't make it to the University after completing Senior High School (SHS), at a time where her peers were in school.

This wasn't deliberate, as her parents' finances kept dwindling and the education of her other siblings was at stake.

"I couldn't continue my education after SHS because my parents were financially contraint and had told me earlier to wait so they can focus on the education of my other siblings" Naa Abeka told modernghana.com, in an interview.

Determined to climb higher on the academic ladder, she offered to take over her mother's business, which was selling fried yam in the neighbourhood to enable her save some money for computer classes.

Soon, she was able to raise enough money to take her to computer school but still had to resit some of her failed papers in her final examination from Senior High School.

After some internships, she was employed as a secretary at a graphic designing firm but fell in love with graphic designing and decided to understudy the designer at the time while performing her secretarial duties.

She would later occupy the graphic designer position when he (graphic designer) exited the company.

"While with the graphic design company, I resat my failed papers and failed again but didnt give up,"she recounted.

In a quest to work in a more structured environment, which offered opportunities for growth and personal development, she decided to take a career in stenography and landed a job with erstwhile Pro-credit Savings and Loans also as a secretary.

Naa Abeka later moved to UT Financial Services as a front desk executive and that was where her big break came.

While at UT Financial Service, she gained admission to the university with condition that she would resit and pass her failed papers. Remember that will be her third attempt to pass.

While studying for her degree at Regent University College of Science and Technology, she got the role of a bank teller still at UT Financial Services and finally passed her papers.

After she graduated and upon the advice of a friend she applied and got a new role as the Digital Media Administrator at same institution.

The new role came with its hurdles but with perseverance and the zeal to succeed, she pulled through leading to her outfit being ranked third in April, 2017 by the Business and Financial Times (Top 10 banks on social media).

Naa Abeka now owns a digital marketing agency called Just Digital which provides branding, marketing and consultancy services.

She has been through a lot to come this far," Financial contraints and failures. It took me over nine years to get a degree and I even gave up at a point," she disclosed.

Naa Abeka Obeng Amfako currently holds MBA Global Marketing from the CASS European Business Institute, Europe.

She had this advice for the youth,"Don't stop, just do it. All you need to succeed is to dream. After, pursue it!"
