Ghanaian reggae-dancehall singer Jupitar, known in private life as Michael Okine has lamented the lack of support from Ghanaians towards some artistes.

He said musicians from some lesser-known tribes finds it difficult to penetrate the entertainment industry.

According to the "Enemies" hitmaker, artists from the Ga and other smaller tribes always suffer to get the support of the music fans.

In a series of tweets, the singer addressed instances where the media and Ghanaians in general support singers who come from bigger tribes but ignore others.

Jupitar reacted to how Ghanaians have been praising Sarkodie over his "Stir It Up" remix feature with Bob Marley but have chosen not to support Ga artists like King Promise, Shatta Wale, himself, and others.

"This whole industry is a set up and if you be "Ga" like myself, Shatta Wale, King Promise, or DKB, etc., certain kinda support you go suffer or you no go get kraaa no matter the effort," he bemoaned.

Reacting to a post from Joy Prime TV’s official Twitter account announcing Stonebwoy’s performance in the Jamiaca Stings, he wrote, "Was the first Ghanaian artist to ever grace this stage, and the media was mute about it. I remember last year I had an event."

He continued, "Hitz FM and some foolish boy made some foolish statements, and yet they refused to acknowledge all the great achievements... God, go punish you people."
