Nigerian Afrobeat icon Wizkid has hinted at what many music enthusiasts have been dying to see in recent times.
The two Nigerian musical GOAT fighters will be on tour probably in the second quarter of this year, according to Wizkid.
The "Essence" hitmaker stated in an Instagram post that his tour with Davido will come after his "More Love, Less Ego" album tour, which is scheduled to kick off in March this year in Houston, Texas, making stops across the US and the United Kingdom.
Wizkid then told his fans and those of Davido to save the same money for the show as he wouldn't tolerate excuses like "we didn't have money to purchase tickets."
"After my MLLE (More Love, Less Ego) tour!! Davido and I going on tour! Save your coins I no wan hear pim!!" Wizkid wrote.
Fans who have for the past year been wishing to taste the musical combination of the two icons have started chanting for a possible collaboration.
Though speaking about it in an interview with Nigeria-based Suncity FM in 2018, Davido disclosed that there may be a collaboration between them but that it will not be a planned one but instead a coincidence so as to make it more genuine and great.
"On my collaboration with Wizkid, I feel like if it will happen, it will happen naturally. If we plan it, we might not do our best. Whenever the time is right, it will happen," Davido said.
On Sunday, January 15, Wizkid won the Best Act in West Africa award at the All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA), while Davido also clinched the Best Male Act in African Inspirational Music Award at the ceremony held in Dakar, Senegal.
