Ghanaian hip hop and hiplife artist Pappy Kojo, real name Jason Gaisie has opined on his journey to the music industry.

The rapper said he never had intentions of becoming a superstar until he first met Joey B, a fellow Ghanaian singer.

In an interview with KMJ spotted by Modernghana News on Accra-based Joy Prime’s "Prime Morning" show on Friday, December 16, he disclosed he became interested in music after his first single, "Realer No" became a hit.

“Honestly, it wasn’t a plan to become a superstar. I was living in my Italy… I met Joey B, we went to the studio, we did a song, put it on Twitter, the next day it was trending. So it wasn’t planned,” Pappy revealed.

The hypes and everything associated with “Realer No” Pappy said, “only made sense to do more.”

Pappy Kojo further said he is not doing music so he can travel to countries and take photographs.

“I don’t do music to travel to America and then take pictures because music took me to America… but I like it in Ghana. I would rather take pictures at Accra Mall, yeah,” he told the host.
