Use Your Star-Power To Promote Agriculture – Celebs Told
Rapper and songwriter, Enoch Nana Yaw Oduro- Agyei, aka Trigmatic is advocating for his fellow musicians and other celebrities to use their fame to help promote agriculture in the country.
According to the rapper who is also a farmer, musicians and celebrities benefit from agricultural produce hence the need for them to use their stardom to promote it.
In a Citi News interview, Trigmatic who was a Special Guest of Honour at the Blue Skies Best School Farm awards ceremony held in Koforidua to award best Junior High and Senior High schools who through good agricultural practices cultivated and marketed food crops commended Blue Skies Company limited for the initiative and also called on government and other celebrities to support expand and sustain the project.
“I will say this initiative is just too brilliant and perfect because if we have had this initiative 10 years ago it would have done soon much good to us now. It would have given us a good foundation right from the basic level. This is the best initiative any organization can do. Kudos to blue skies because when I first heard about it I didn’t know it was that engaging. I came in and found out they prepare the kids right from the field work, grooms the kids and just look at at an amazing presentation from all the schools, it prepares them for all paper works which are good foundations for agribusiness and agriculture entrepreneurs so I will use this opportunity to call on government and all relevant stakeholders to support this achievable course for us to change the face of agriculture and promote made in Ghana goods”.
“I also call on my brother’s who are influential and have the power to move and drive especially the very vibrant and dynamic musicians and celebrities who have more followers to use their fame and platforms to help promote agriculture, they can just use their platforms, start dialogues if they can not go to the grounds and also do more agric programs to rally the kids who enjoy their music and movies to get into agriculture”, Trigmatic added.
The ‘My jolley’ hit maker also hinted of a collaboration with other musicians to compose a song to promote agriculture.
“There’s actually a song am writing which will be out in a couple of weeks, it’s a song for the campaign to promote agriculture and it will be released very soon and launched properly to help the course”.
