The muscle king- Brong Ahafo edition has been Launched In Sunyani.

The Manager of Goodlife Fitness and Gym Centre, Gorden Kyeremeh, popularly known as Gordey, has called on the Ministry of Sports to build well-equipped gym centres across the country to help in training body builders to represent Ghana in international tournaments.

Mr Kyeremeh who manages one of the biggest gym centres in Sunyani, the Brong Ahafo Regional capital believes, that with proper training at gym centres and good psychic, the country will have great talents representing the country in all parts of the world.

Speaking at the launch of the maiden edition of “The Muscle King” -B/A Edition at the Royal Place in Sunyani, Mr Kyeremeh said “The Muscle King” is an event that has been introduced to provide a platform for young men in the fraternity of body building in the Brong Ahafo Region and beyond. “This event will be utilizing the expertise of the “World Amateur Body Builders Association (WABBA) in selecting the finest and King of Muscles for the Brong Ahafo Region and beyond”.

According to Mr. Kyeremeh, the Brong Ahafo Region can boast of talents across most fields of Sports disciplines, but sadly, these are untapped fully to the benefit of those involved.

“We haven observed, that we have talents in the area of Body Building in the Brong Ahafo Region, sought the need to organise “The Muscle King” to enable them compete for the Muscle Crown of the Brong Ahafo Region”, he added.

He further stressed, that the introduction of this project was borne out of the centre’s passion for body building and specifically seeking to create a defined sense of purpose for athletes who engage in body building.

“We have observed, that some people especially men go through body building as hobby or for fun and as a result do not really have any definite sense of purpose. In such situations, such men if not properly oriented about some benefits of body building become targets for unscrupulous persons who then try to use the talents of these men for certain antisocial behaviours that satisfy only their masters”, he asserted.

He said, such behaviours if not checked can be detrimental to the societies and country’s growth and development at large.

We believe, that by offering such opportunity, a lot of successes can be chalked for the Region in the area of body building.

A team from Goodlife Fitness and Gym Centre recently won three trophies in the area of Arm Wrestling in the Northern Zone of Ghana; He reiterated. They subsequently went ahead to win 1 gold medal, 2 silver and 1Bronze in the West Africa games hosted in Ghana.

When asked how one can participate in the impending games, he mentioned, that Forms are available for sale until September at the cost of Ghc100 at the Good Life Fitness and Gym Centre, Sunyani as well as all radio stations in sunyani. The event shall be held on 3rd November 2018 at exactly 6:00am at the Sunyani Jubilee Park.

The First Price goes for ghc3000, and 2,500, 2000 for the second and third winners respectively. Winners shall also receive products from the various sponsors.
