Popular Nigerian Comedian, Seyi Law has clinched the record as the first Nigerian humorist to host Comedy Central's first ever live-activation in Nigeria.
Seyi Law was selected by global comedy content giant, Comedy Central to host its ‘Grab The Mic’ Comedic Talent Hunt.
The campaign is aimed at discovering and promoting up and coming comedic acts in Nigeria. Veteran comedian, Ali Baba alongside other industry big wigs, serves as judges for the auditions.
Leading up from his success at the AY Open Comedy Mic in 2006, Seyi Law has gone on to become one of Nigeria’s most sought after comedians.
The nationwide campaign, which is Comedy Central’s maiden activation in Nigeria, kicked off with open auditions in Lagos on 15 October, with subsequent auditions to hold in Port Harcourt on 21 October and conclude in Jos on 28 October 2017. Contestants stand the chance of winning the Grand Prize of 1.5 Million Naira and share the stage with Ali Baba.
