John Mahama: A Judas Of Iscariot Or Zacchaeus Of Jericho?

On #joyfm awhile ago, Felix Kwakye-Ofosu, an Aide to John Mahama was asked how many homes will be captured under 20,000 needy people they intend to feed under lockdown, and he said "I need to check".

Again, he was asked how much the project will cost, and the answer was "that will be made known at the appropriate time".

Now, it is abundantly evident that absolutely no strategy is in place to efficiently distribute these relief items, and also, there has been no analysis done in respect of cost.

The cash is readily available, thanks to massive corrupt practices while in office, and the man is just taking advantage of the crisis to advance parochial political agenda.

Meanwhile, this is the same person claiming free water, electricity, accommodation, chop money, and every essential under the sun must be provided, free of charge, to all Ghanaians, for as long as the Covid-19 crisis persists, when has once occupied the presidency and therefore has a good picture of the economy he bequeathed the Ghanaians.

And like I have always maintained, with absolutely no malice but in all sincerity, honesty and humility: the distribution of items to the vulnerable in this Covid-19 lockdown period, is nothing but, an armed robber returning stolen items to the owner, or better still, Judas of Iscariot returning the 30pieces of the silver price tag on the life of Jesus.

Zacchaeus, also, after an encounter with Jesus Christ and being exposed to light and kingdom of God, repented of his wicked corrupt nature, regretted the enormous misery he had inflicted on the poor by stealing from them and depriving them of decent living and plunging them into poverty and misery, went and paid back the victims in three-folds.

FOR ME, JOHN MAHAMA IS ONLY FOLLOWING THE BEST EXAMPLES OF JUDAS AND ZACCHAEUS as vividly captured in the books of Luke chapter 19:1-10 and Matthew chapter 27:3 of the Holy Bible, respectively.

Ironically, the name Zacchaeus, in Hebrew, means PURE and CLEAN while Judas means PRAISE or THE PRAISED ONE.

In conclusion, I will plead with him not to follow what Judas did by committing suicide thereafter, but avail himself to be baptised, both in water and by the holy spirit, so he can partake in the life everlasting.
