Charge NDC Chairman Samuel Ofosu Ampofo with Treason – Madam the Attorney General

I don’t blame Samuel Ofosu Ampofo for hatching evil plots and encouraging some NDC fanatics to execute them because in his little-mindedness and determined quest for power, he sees such a scheme as strategically befitting. Nevertheless, I am against seeing him still walking a free man in Ghana. I blame the Ghana justice system that bites only the poor and the needy but becomes a barking toothless dog in the sight of the rich and the powerful persons in the society. I also blame the oftentimes cowardice, incompetence and probably the connivance of our Attorney Generals for deliberately or inadvertently not getting all their prosecutorial facts and evidence ready when some such serious cases are called for a court hearing.

I am suggesting that Samuel Ofosu Ampofo must be charged with treason if indeed some alleged arrested arsonist has said Samuel Ofosu Ampofo was behind their recent heinous arson committed against the traders at the Kumasi Central Market.

Some months ago, an unknown Ghanaian posted on WhatsApp an audio recording by himself alerting Ghanaians to a secret meeting held in a place in Accra where the NDC were planning to inflict series of arson and other acts of insecurity on Ghanaians to later turn around to blame them on NPP. That audio was forwarded to my WhatsApp page. I subsequently shared it with my WhatsApp contacts including Deputy Police Inspector Afia Tinge or whatever her name is. In less than no time, say about two months later, the nation woke up to the shocking reality of the information as put out by the unknown person warning Ghanaians to be wary of the NDC.

What was it? Another voice-recorded message, now alleged to be forensically proven to be that of Samuel Ofosu Ampofo, the Chairman of NDC, who is as well an Elder in the Pentecost Church of Ghana, has come out. In the recorded audio, he was divulging the criminal strategies the NDC must adopt to make His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and his NPP Government unpopular so as to incur the wrath of Ghanaian citizens to vote them out of power come Election 2020. He talked about kidnappings, setting places ablaze, encouraging robberies and other such crimes that will make Ghanaians feel unsafe under the NPP Government. With this, the President and his government will be blamed for visiting insecurity upon Ghanaians by their style of governance hence the electorates may be compelled to vote them out to bring in a much better government which to them will be NDC.

Before I proceed to explain why Samuel Ofosu Ampofo must be charged with treason, let me first pause to define what treason is. Treason is defined as, "the crime of betraying one's country, especially by attempting to kill or overthrow the sovereign or government"

Samuel Ofosu Ampofo by his Election 2020 strategic coaching to the NDC faithful in that infamous meeting which was secretly recorded, he had the intent to unlawfully overthrow the government. By the NDC faithful and their agents and assigns putting into practice the hatched plan, there will surely be insecurity in the nation to anger the electorates to vote out the NPP for being a weak government and party incapable of ensuring public safety and protection. He knows that if NDC do not resort to such malicious strategies with intent to boot out the NPP government, it may be hard for them to come to power any soon. Therefore, by resorting to such criminal strategies able to force the ruling government out sooner than the people would have anticipated amounts to overthrowing the government by foul means.

As I love to come down to earth to be understood by the public readers and my fans, let me define the word overthrow. It is defined by the dictionary as "to depose, as from a position of power "or "to put an end to by force, as a government or institution"

By resort to the devised scheme by Samuel Ofosu Ampofo to cause not only "fear and panic" to the public but also, the visitation of real insecurity of death, arson, kidnapping, armed robberies etc. on Ghana and Ghanaians, is he not seeking to overthrow the NPP government by inciting the public against the president and the NPP government? It is not only through the connivance with foreign enemies or the use of arms as in a coup d’état that one can overthrow a lawfully elected government to be charged with treason but also, by the criminal schemes as proposed to the NDC faithful as secretly captured on recorded audio and made public.

Yes, I will never personally vote for a party that presides over prevalence of acts of insecurity in incapacitation; so shall you or any discerning citizen. Therefore, the plot by Samuel Ofosu Ampofo is so powerful to bring down a government. The spate of armed robberies, arson, kidnappings and killings was not long ago so alarming that I even published an article warning the President to do something sensible to stop it before it culminates into obliteration of his any attempts for re-election in 2020. Did I not publish an article advising the Inspector General of Police, to adopt the French tactics of dealing with terrorist threats to curbing the alarming armed robberies that nearly engulfed Ghana?

The reality of the occurrence of the evils advised by Samuel Ofosu Ampofo in Ghana, goes to confirm that he had indeed strategized through resort to illegal means to bring down the NPP government. Subsequently, he has to be charged with treason or felonious treason rather than arson or any lesser crime (misdemeanour).

Are the leaders of Pentecost Church waiting for the State to deal with him first before they act? I should think so. For if they excommunicate him before his trial for treason or whatever, it can be cited as evidence of guilt by the State against him hence their tactical wait and see.

The NDC are stupidly rallying behind Samuel Ofosu Ampofo with the motive of exonerating him from blame, or making it harder for the State to prosecute him. This should not frighten off the Attorney General or the police to let him off the hook. He must be dealt with same as any ordinary Ghanaian would be dealt with if they had done as he has done.

I would long have sorted him if I were a State Prosecutor or a Judge. After all the bragging on air, that uncivilized Kwaku Boahene, now become a coward with shrank balls in-between his legs, is seeking false alibis to exonerate himself from possible criminal charges. Why has his audacious bragging departed him? They are criminals who should be dealt with accordingly!

The Attorney General and the police must not mess up this case if indeed an apprehended arsonist has incriminated Samuel Ofosu Ampofo in the recent market fires in Kumasi or Ghana.
