The Woyome Re-awakening – The Intersection Of “ignorance” And Corruption In High Places: Organized Criminality Against Our Nation

The Woyome Re-awakening – The Intersection Of ignorance And Corruption In High Places: Organized Criminality Against Our Nation
21.11.2015 LISTEN

When the WOYOME mind-boggling, reason defying edifice of colossal fraud first broke in our nation, I published a couple of articles on Ghanaweb and modernghana.com . The thrust of my thoughts at that time was that such gargantuan fraud could not been the construct of a lone wolf – the individual then identified as Alfred Agbesi Woyome; an NDC financier.

Since the initial onslaught of the Woyome mayham, we have come to learn a whole host of even more brutal and more sinister criminal assault on our nation by people who we thought must, and should, have known better! Take a look at this: All the principal characters are individuals, probably one of the better paid, better housed individuals in government bungalows – a virtually free housing compared to many in dire need of housing in our country. Simply put, the characters in this horrid drama so cruelly inflicted upon our country, belong to the “class” we call “educated” “privileged” and, in general, “the elite” of our country. All were incidentally direct protagonists for NDC.

Now, in a stunning affirmation of the worst-case scenario, our government says, its then highest law enforcement officer, the Attorney General of our country, who by deliberate and knowing actions and calculated inactions was, in fact terribly “ignorant” in her handling of the “Woyome Steal”. So, let the world know, that the leaned Betty Mould-Iddrisu our presumably distinguished AG, a lawyer with several years of exposure to presumably some of the most complex legal issues, was nothing more than an “ignorant” buffoon, when she applied her skills and knowledge to lead a team of legal experts from the Attorney General’s Department – otherwise known as the Department of Justice. So Pitiful – and yet laughable! And while we are at this, Auntie Betty is the current Deputy Chairperson of the governing NDC, a major political promotion following the now certified totally “ignorant” attempt to practice law in the matter of Woyome. I am not sure whether Auntie Betty has responded to this shattering lowering of her standard: This “show and tell” of the incompetent and the ignorant in most high places in our political and legal circles.

Be that as it may, I am not buying this colossal diminution of Auntie Betty, the Deputy Chairperson of NDC – as an “ignorant” participant – yes indeed, the principal facilitator of the WOYOME FRAUD on our nation. I have no precise information as to when Auntie Betty was admitted to practice law in Ghana; but I can guarantee anyone that First Year Law students recently introduced to the very nascent (first) principles of “toddler” Contract Law, would not be as ignorant as the then Attorney General is described by her own government I submit we glorify ignorance by attaching it to the disgraceful and criminal conduct of Betty Mould-Iddrisu. This government White Paper describing our Attorney General as “ignorant” on the “non-existing contract” between the People of Ghana and Alfred Agbesi Woyome is no more than another slap on the face of mother Ghana –– after the financial rape orchestrated by Woyome and his cohorts and associated bandits in the AG’s office and very sadly, the judiciary, as indicated. These characters preferred to orchestrate an award of an inordinate amount of money for the benefit of Woyome to the harm of our country. This was not an ignorant operative. This was a calculating, scheming fraudster at work.

This was our Attorney General, glorifying corruption of the most deleterious kind: Calculated to harm our motherland by the known operatives. This was corruption at large and they thought they were going to get away with it. SHAME on you Betty Mould, you are now officially declared demonstrably “ignorant”. You should seriously consider resigning from the practice of law. You have become a shame to our profession as affirmed by your own government! Apparently you do not understand the basics of Contract Law. Furthermore, it is clear your allegiance was not with the People you swore to protect, but with a scheming con artist called Woyome.

As for the operatives and learned gentlemen from the AG’s office who did the running around the law for the benefit of Woyome, they all reported to auntie Betty so, they must all be assembled on the Beach somewhere and shot with the National Darts of Shame for ever! We know them all. Some of them even had their wives receiving “loans” from Woyome even as they represented our Country. Stinking, everywhere you look!

But beyond the officially decreed “ignorance” of the Attorney General. Betty Mould-Iddrisu, one wing of this mess I did not fully explore in my previous articles on this matter, is the role of the judge who actually presided over this stinking episode in our nation’s history. We are now at the critical intersection of demonstrated “ignorance” and perverted ruthless corruption of the trial court. A sickening judicial orchestration of the deal. The inelegant dance of the trial Judge, who side-stepped a litany of rules designed to achieve justice – or at least, clarity of legal thinking, may be more damaging to one sense of fairness than Betty’s declared “ignorance”. Almost every relevant rule of practice – the most basic, were all ignored by the the art dodger of a crook of a judge. He should not only be chased out of the judiciary, he should be arrested and made to disgorge whatever he took from Woyome and his gang.

This judge engaged in a clear knowing disregard of the Rules of Practice, in order to facilitate a construct of an empty case seeking Judgement Debt. This is a definitive affirmation of corruption; the most deleterious kind.

About five years ago, on December 21 2010, I published an article titled: Thinking aloud about Judicial Corruption: The search for remedy [ See http://www.ghanaweb.com/GhanaHomePage/features/artikel.php?ID=199831 ] where I advanced my position on that crucial issue. This was five years before Anas! And the recent developments, as photographically demonstrated by Anas, has confirmed the fears of our nation: That some of our judges are worse than the criminals who appear before them. I am going to wait for the process of the very rotten apples to define itself before I deal with this subject yet again, but, for now, the Woyome Report, has conclusively demonstrated that we are at the intersection of judicial corruption and criminality and our AG’s pitiful “ignorance.” The people suffer.

This issue should not be a political matter. Unfortunately Betty is the Deputy Chairman of the ruling NDC. How does one effectively separate the politics of corruption and ignorance from the cries of the nation for swift recovery: Now, in the language of the Commissioner: “The State must take all necessary steps to recall the money paid to Alfred Agbesi Woyome from him with interest”. What is the going rate of the interest ? We are waiting. Auntie Betty is still walking around – A real meaningful accounting is past due.
