Grace Adowa Imo a Ghanaian / American Radio host has been robbed and stranded

To our dearest listeners, viewers, followers, family, friends and well-wishers, our attention has been drawn by our media and publicity manager to an email which went viral on the internet and social media platforms to the effect that:

"....I (Grace Adwoa Imo) was in Ukraine last night for a business trip and on my way back to the hotel, I was robbed...and I need you to help with my hotel bill $2,250...and get myself home...I will reimburse you soon as I get back Home..."

I hereby write to state that, none of this is true, neither I traveled out of the US, nor even wrote to request for anybody's help. This is a big time scam. It is now part and parcel of the modus opries [mode of operations] of the 419 scammers to capitalize on the popularity of media personal with the hope that, they can make 'smart' and 'systematic' strategies to gain illegitimate money from followers and friends of such …, thinking people out there could dish out money immediately by using names and claiming they are in difficulties. Because we received many calls and texts from here (USA), Ghana and other places this week, asking to verify and wondering if this really happened to Grace. This is a clear cut impersonation, and therefore we are sending a word of warning to the perpetrators of this scam that, if they do not stop drugging Grace's name into disrepute, they would soon get caught and they consequences will be brutal.

Please nobody should wire any money to the claimants. We thank everyone for their love and concern in spite of their uncertainty. And we thank God that none of you sent any money yet to this unscrupulous swindlers out there.
