Intercessory Prayers

This month's Intercessory Prayers for Ghana, under the auspices of Aglow, will be held this Saturday, at the Independence Square, Accra, at 8 a.m.

A release signed by Mrs Gifty Affenyi-Dadzie, National Prayer Director of Aglow Int., urged all Ghanaians to "join the army of intercessors to pray for God's divine intervention in every sphere of our national life".

Tsito Progressive Movement

The Tsito progressive Movement, Greater Accra branch, will hold an emergency meeting at ATTC, Kokomlemle, on Sunday, July 20, at 2.30 p.m. to discuss final preparation for the fundraising durbar scheduled for Saturday, August 2, at Club 77, opposite El-Wak Shell Filling Station.

EMMANUEL SACKEY

BURIAL of Mr Emmanuel Mettle Sackey, 97, alias 'Sureman', and his daughter, Grace Naa Ayao Sackey, 41, will take place at the Osu Cemetery tomorrow, July 18, after laying in state at his residence, B65/3 Jonkokbri Walk, Lartebiokorshie, Accra.

Burial service will be held at the Holy Spirit Anglican Church, Lartebiokorshie, Accra.

He was the husband of Mrs Eunice Aku Sackey.

SAMUEL O. SACKEY

The death is reported at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital of Samuel O. Sackey of Jospon Printing Press Limited. He was 54

The late Sackey was the father of Patience Sackey, Cape Coast, brother of Rev. I. T. Sackey, Later- biokorshie Presbyterian Church, Rev. Micheal P. Sackey, Pokuase Methodist Church, Ansah Sackey, Mrs Hannah Aryeetey, Mrs Grace Nelson, Elizabeth Sackey, Ebenezer Sackey, Adu Sackey, Paul Sackey, Ga District Tribunal, Amasaman, Peter Sackey and Joshua O. Sackey of New Times Corporation.

Burial arrangements will be announced later. He was 54

Madam Mary Abena Amponsah

Burial takes place at the Kuren Cemetery near Dormaa Ahenkro in the Brong-Ahafo Region of Madam Mary Abena Amponsah, aged 100, on Friday, July 18.

She was the mother of Paul Donkor, Abena Animah, Akosua Boahemaa, Kyereme Moses, Taberi Joseph and Abraham Kyeremeh.

She was also the grandmother of Gifty Animah of the Ghanaian Times, Felicia Badu, Akosua Amponsah, Kofi Osei, Kofi Stephen, Ama Vivian and Paul Badu.
