Member of Parliament for Cape Coast North Constituency, Dr. Kwamena Minta Nyarku has donated some non-medical essential supplies to the University of Cape Coast Hospital.

The generous gesture according to Ragga as he is affectionately known, is aimed at supporting healthcare and community development which is hinged on one of his visions for the constituency.

In a brief ceremony held at the forecourt of the hospital on Tuesday, March 5 2024, Dr. Minta Nyarku in donating the items emphasised the need to support health facilities within his constituency to improve health delivery, especially to students and the entire university community.

The items donated included streetlights, Wellington boots, cutlasses, rolling walkers, and other non-medical hospital supplies such as gloves, stethoscopes, bandages, diapers, and nose masks.

According to Ragga, being a former Senior Lecturer and Student Leader of the University, "it's only fitting and proper that I support the school in this case the hospital in my new capacity as a member of parliament. This token contribution is aimed at significantly enhancing the hospital's capacity to serve the university community better."

An elated Director of the University Hospital, Dr. James Kojo Prah who received the items, on behalf of the hospital, expressed his heartfelt gratitude and commended him for his unwavering commitment to improving healthcare accessibility in the constituency.

He added "These donated items would bolster the hospital's efforts in providing quality healthcare to patients while also addressing some critical needs within the university community."

The UCC Hospital Director further asked for God's blessing for the MP and beseeched him to continue remembering the facility in his philanthropic exploits.

The MP underscored the relevance of collaborative efforts in addressing healthcare challenges and pledged his continued support towards initiatives to enhance the well-being of the constituents.
